SEPTEMBER SUNDAY SUPPER

September 14th...

You can never go wrong making chicken for dinner...and the aroma of chicken cooking...no matter how you are preparing it...reminds me of home and comfort.

Here is a really tasty chicken dish... perfect for a Sunday supper for you and your family...but company fare as well.

Enjoy!

TARRAGON CHICKEN
serves 4

1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 large chicken breasts...skinless and boneless
2 green onions...finely chopped
1 clove garlic...finely chopped
1/4 cup dry white wine
1/2 cup cream
1 tablespoon roughly chopped fresh tarragon

Melt butter and oil in large frying pan on medium heat. The olive oil added will keep the butter from burning. Add the chicken...and cook...turning occasionally...until browned and cooked through.

Add the spring onion and garlic...cook until garlic softens. Add the wine...cream...and the tarragon...cook for another 2 minutes...stirring to coat the chicken.

Serve this yummy dish with fresh steamed vegetables.

*** For a pretty September table setting...try adding fresh tarragon and a single white rose to several small vases...or even small wine glasses...which make great little vessels for flowers. Spread 2 or 3 of these herbal flower arrangements on your table...for a very pretty look.

Happy Sunday Supper to you

FEMININE LIVING TRADITIONS...SEPTEMBER HOME MAKING

September 10...

I am always seeking ways to keep my home clean...tidy...and healthy for my family and the environment. I do not like BUGS of any kind... so finding organic and natural means to keep these little crawly  things...OUT of my home...is always at the top of my list for natural home care.

Here is one using my favorite little bottles of organic super powers...pure herbal essential oils...I use them for self- care... medicine...cleaning...and critter control.

QUICK MOTH REPELLENT

Combine equal amounts of  pure lavender...rosemary...clove...and lemon essential oils in a small bottle....I use about 10-12 drops each. Take everything out of your cupboards and wipe the interior and shelves with a damp cloth that's been sprinkled with a few drops of the oil blend. You can also sprinkle it onto cotton balls...then place them in the closet when you replace the clothing.
